The great announcement was made by the The Honorable Minister of Youth Development, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi at the Ladi Kwali Hall of Sheraton Hotel, Abuja on Monday, December 5, 2011.
In addition to this, the Ministry of Youth Development introduced the nation’s first free toll national anti-rape helpline - 080072732255 to help provide counseling services to rape survivors across Nigeria.
The ambassadors are expected to use the vehicle of social media and pop-culture as advocacy tools for mobilizing public action against the crime of rape.
