Pictures: Ladies Night With SKALES!

Image
There was a lot of "mukulu-ing" as friends and fans gathered to party with one of E.M.E's artistes, Skales!

It was put together by The Place Bar, GRA on Wednesday May 2, 2012 and had a lot of popular faces in attendance, such as E.M.E's boss Banky W, FlowSsick, Reminisce, Dee Money, Masterkraft, Uche Odoh and a host of others.

GlamMusic: Skales drops 2 HOT new singles!

Skales!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As promised, E.M.E (Empire Mates Entertainment) is PROUD to present the BRAND NEW singles from their very own rap star Skales titled Mukulu and Keresimesi with production courtesy of Sarz.

Leading with the instantly infectious and catchyMukulu – which is well poised to top mainstream radio charts and fill up dance floors all over the continent in the coming months – Skales shows off his vibrant, flamboyant and “lover boy” side with clever and witty lyrics and a glorious hook that you will not be able to get out of your head as he confesses his luv and affection for his leading lady over this lush drums-led production courtesy of the one they call Sarz. I dare you to try and not sing Ja mukulu Ja mukeke and move your body to this one!

While Mukulu is a catchy infectious crowd-pleaser, Keresimesi is an instant head-banger with which Skales boldly and confidently stakes his claim on that African Hip-Hop throne as this Sarz-produced rap milieu laced with resounding drum kicks and blazing trumpets perfectly ushers Skales right to his rap kingdom and with straight shooting lyrics such as, The new King of Alaba stores and I’m headed NOT just for a Grammy, I want it allSkales makes it clear to everybody listening that he is officially out – all guns blazing – and gunning for that number one spot!

GlamHit: Skales – Misunderstood (Freestyle)

Y'all have no idea how long I have waited for Skales to drop something!!!!!!!!!! Finally, he has.

To serve as a precursor to his upcoming single and video releases and to wet the appetites of his loyal fans, E.M.E rising rap star, Skales, delivers to us this insanely huge freestyle titled Misunderstood.

Covering the Fabolous and Rick Ross-featured 2010 smash hit “Swagger Right” from Def Jam-signed girl group - Rich Girl, Skales shows us and all that will listen, superbly just why he is a force to be reckoned with in African Hip-Hop.

Poignantly and cleverly addressing the complications and misunderstanding between himself and the “Michelle to his Obama”, Skales completely turns this spooky Rich Harrison-produced beat on its head and superbly wraps his sharp and witty lyrics – with much finesse and dexterity – around the quavering synths and eerie finger claps that complete this slithering production to create a 3-minute showing of Skales's lyrical prowess.

Our only logical question is if this is a ”freestyle”, what can we expect from his forthcoming singles?
