M-Factor wins Peak Talent Show Season 3

Marvellous Osunbor a.k.a. M-Factor is the Peak Talent Show Season 3 winner.

M-Factor who hails from Edo State was presented with a N2m cheque and a total package worth N10m plus an iPad at the grand finale of the show which took place at the New Expo Hall, Eko Hotel & Suites in Lagos on Tuesday, 20th December, 2011.

He won over sultry singer Immaculate and the very talented and amazing violin player, Bernard John. They each won iPads and N1m each.

The judges - Dayo 'D1' Adeneye, Oreka Godis and OJB Jezreel were beyond proud of the contestants and had very encouraging words for them.

Honestly, we have very great talents in this country.

Monica wins MTN Project Fame West Africa, Season 4!

After many weeks of tension and of course, beautiful performances from the contestants, Season 4 of popular TV talent hunt show, MTN Project Fame West Africa, came to a fulfilling close as Monica clinched the mouth-watering prize.

She beat five others; Roy, Ese, Ethel, Yvonne, Ruth, to emerge winner. Ethel got a million naira as the 3rd runner-up, Ese, a million naira and a brand new Toyota car and Roy, 1.5 million naira and a brand new Toyota Corolla car as 2nd and 1st runners-up respectively. They make up the "Sensational Six".

As the winner, Monica goes home with a brand new Toyota Rav 4 SUV, 2.5 million Naira and a recording contract worth millions.

Alex Uriesi is Martini's Male Model of the year!!!!!!

On Thursday, 15th December, 2011, the first ever Martini Male Model Search organized by BETH Model Management Africa in conjunction with Martini took place at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Lagos, Nigeria.

10 hot finalists slugged it out for the coveted title and were finally pruned down to the Top 2: Alex Uriesi and Ugochukwu Uzowuihe.

BETH Model Management Africa in conjunction with Martini will hold the first ever Martini Male Model Search at Radisson Blu Hotel, Lagos on Thursday, 15th December, 2011.

The Copa Lagos Beach Soccer tournament is a few days away!!!

This is the first edition of a major beach tournament in Sub Saharan Africa and it is going to run from Friday 16th to Sunday, 18th December, 2011 where 4 great nations: South Africa, England, Brazil and Nigeria will slug it out for the coveted title of Copa Lagos Beach Soccer 2011 Champions.

It will be a full weekend of entertainment, from fashion shows, to cheerleading stings to DJ Jump-offs and of course, musical performances by your faves; Wiz Kid, Sound Sultan, Davido, Naeto C, Ikechukwu, Skales, Mschief, Karma, Eva, Jberg and BlackMagic.

 

Host of the event is Eko Atlantic and it will be broadcasted globally on over 21 television stations – Fox Sports, Al Jazeera Sports, ESPN, Super Sports, AIT, amongst others reaching 250 million households. Go get your tickets and get ready for the sporting time of your life.

Miss Nigeria 2011: Oluwafeyijimi Sodipo

The grand finale of the 2011 Miss Nigeria competition took place at the Expo Centre of the Eko Hotel & Suites on Friday, 18th November 2011.

Oluwafeyijimi Modupeola Sodipo was announced the new queen ambassador. She represented Ogun State and I must say she is beauty with brains.

Born 21 years ago, she has a diploma in Data Processing from Babcock University and currently speaks 4 languages Yoruba, Hausa, English and fluent German.

Modupeola intends to spend her reign highlighting issues pertaining to orphaned children around the nation and to also spend her year working with both Federal and State Governments through the ministries for Tourism, Culture & National Orientation, Information; while also making herself available to work on special projects on behalf of international non-governmental organizations.

She gets:

Imade Ogbewi is Nigeria's Next Super Model 2011

Nigeria's Next Super Model 2011 couldn't have come to an end without a  winner emerging and that's where Imade Ogbewi comes into the picture.

She came out tops, beating 17 other beautiful ladies to clinch the crown.

18 year old Imade gets a brand new car, a round trip ticket from Virgin Atlantic to London, another ticket from Studio 24 to Dubai + 4 day stay at the Hilton hotel, a decoder from StarTimes, $1, 000 worth of clothes from Rukkies Concept, and a ticket to London for Africa Fashion Week.

She joins previous winners Eunice Eyo (2007), Aisha Bello (2009) and Claudia (2010).
