The awards ceremony took place on Sunday, 4th September, 2011 at Symphony Space in New York City, popularly called, the Big Apple.
It was hosted by Funke Akindele & Julius Agwu and also featured great performances from Choc Boyz, Waje, Samklef, Sound Sultan, Rotimi, Titi Lokei, Duncan Daniels and many more.
In attendance also was Audu Maikori (CEO of Chocolate City), Juliet Ibrahim (Ghanian Actress), DJ Obi, Tiwaworks (Entertainment promoter), DJ E-Cool and a host of others.
