Alex Uriesi is Martini's Male Model of the year!!!!!!

On Thursday, 15th December, 2011, the first ever Martini Male Model Search organized by BETH Model Management Africa in conjunction with Martini took place at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Lagos, Nigeria.

10 hot finalists slugged it out for the coveted title and were finally pruned down to the Top 2: Alex Uriesi and Ugochukwu Uzowuihe.

The Red Carpet: Schon Afrique "Royal Collection" Event

This was one night to remember in the Majin family.

“The Royal Collection” by Folake Majin, “The Breathless Experience” by Miss Majin and “The Circle Revolution” collection by Gogo Majin were all unveiled on Sunday, 20th November, 2011 as lovers of fashion gathered at the Civic Centre, V/I, Lagos to be a part of this great achievement.

In attendance were personalities such as Adora Oleh, Praiz, Tee-A, Tara Durotoye, Opral Benson, Adesuwa Onyenokwe, Elohor Aisien and also Her Excellency, Lagos State's First Lady - Abimbola Fashola  and a host of others.

Top Model of Colour 2011 winners announced

On Saturday, 3rd December, 2011, the Grand Finale of the Top Model of Colour competition took place at Porchester Hall in West London.

Janita Francis and Raphael Olaiya emerged winners in the Male and Female categories.

Top model of Colour is produced by Mahogany Productions in association with Mahogany Model Management. The TMC Competition aims to give models of colour exposure within the fashion industry as well as presenting them with the opportunity to take advice from professionals on how to improve their skills and become a successful model.  

TMC runs every year and is opened to both female and male models of Asian, African, Caribbean, Hispanic, Oriental, and Mix Heritage decent.

May the best man/woman win: The FAB Awards Nominees

The second edition of FAB Night-Out: an annual fashion/awards show is scheduled to hold at the Landmark Events Center, Victoria Island, Lagos on December 11, 2011.

The list of nominees was unveiled at the FAB Nominees party which held at The Marquee in Lagos on October 22, 2011.

FAB Night-Out debuted in 2010 as a platform to recognize and celebrate talents with the best, offering every calendar year with a total of twenty six award plaques to reward deserving talents and this year will not be any different as there is an inclusion of a special recognition category in honor of the fashion great, Deola Sagoe.

Finally, the much-awaited premiere of the "Two Brides & a Baby" movie took place on Thursday, 17th November, 2011 at the Genesis Deluxe Cinemas, The Palms, Lekki.
