From Paris with Love! Fave collections from the Paris Couture Week! - CHANEL

Chanel just always oozes class and Karl Lagerfeld, Head Designer and Creative Director, did nothing short of that at his Paris Couture Week runway show.

Karl took it one large step higher this time, creating a custom-built airplane interior as the runway to showcase his vintage air-hostess themed Spring 2012 collection.

My obsession with this collection is the fabulous, softly structured necklines of the jackets, the beaded hair pieces, the fauxhawks and also the embellishments on the dresses which brought out the modern feel to it. I think those were the great points of the collection.

I also noticed it was all about the color blue, with a few splashes of grey.

Love!

From Paris with Love! Fave collections from the Paris Couture Week! - ATELIER VERSACE

Fashion rocks!

Whoever says otherwise should be checked....

The fashion season is here again and of course another time to be kept abreast of the latest trends to be seen in the coming year.

The Paris Haute Couture Week is one of the very glamorous weeks in the fashion season. You get to see fabulous creations of exclusive custom-fitted clothing, made-to-order pieces from high-quality, expensive fabrics sewn with extreme attention to detail.

After an 8-year break, Atelier Versace returned to the runways of couture week and kicked it off with breathtaking, tres glam pieces.

I must say I went to fashion heaven and back, seeing the very creative hand and mind of Donatella Versace on those pieces. The combination of very rich, bright, citric colors, metallics, glitter/embellishments, lace....ohhhh! Also the structured shoulders and the lovely and strategic cut-outs.

I feel she was inspired by the fashion in Ancient Rome but she brought a modern twist to it, therefore the addition of the high slits, sexy silhouettes, open backs and mono straps.

They are just fit for a queen. Beyond gorgeous!

See for yourselves.

More to come from the Paris Couture Week.
